MEA TCL Academy — Elevate Sales Performance

Last updated: 16 October 2026

In short

MEA TCL Academy (formerly Breezy) is an internal training tool for TCL air-conditioner and TV promoters and distributors across the Middle East, Africa, Pakistan and Türkiye. MEA TCL Academy, including its app for iPhone and iPad (in the App Store as Breezy Sales Coach), is published by Ali Jafar Mohammad Ali.

It is not an advertising product. Nothing collected here is sold, and nothing is shared with an advertising network or a data broker.

You can browse the training content, ask the assistant questions and use the calculator once you have entered an email address at the sign-in screen; without one, the app does not open. That address is the only detail asked for at the door, and MEA TCL Academy keeps a record, under that address, of what you open and ask (see b below). Your name is asked for when you choose to sit an exam; the feedback form offers an optional contact field; and supervisors enter names when they file an evaluation.

What is collected

a. Usage events and the access log

When you open a content card or a video, or choose a model filter, the app records the event type, a reference to the item, the language and the time. When you close a card or a video, it also records how long you spent on it and how far you got. If you are signed in as a registered promoter, the event carries a pseudonymous identifier derived from your email by a one-way hash — the email itself is not stored on the event. These records are capped at the newest 20,000 and overwritten oldest-first. An older copy from before 1 October 2026 is no longer added to but has not been deleted.

Separately, opening the app, switching tabs, opening a card, its AI summary or a video, using the energy calculator or the Airflow Lab, and every sign-in attempt each write one line to a short access log: the action, the time, the connecting IP address and the browser's user-agent string. Until someone signs in on a device, its only lines are that it reached the sign-in screen and the sign-in attempt itself. A device that still holds a sign-in cookie (see i) is treated as signed in with that cookie's address, even while it shows the sign-in screen.

If you are signed in as a registered promoter, the line carries your email address. If you entered an address that is not on the roster, it carries that address, marked as unverified. Otherwise it is keyed by IP address alone; a sign-in attempt is logged with the address that was tried, including an address typed in a Sales Coach message (see b). The log holds the newest 500 lines and overwrites oldest-first. It exists to notice a shared or misused sign-in address, not to profile anyone. Apart from the short-lived counters described under “Where it is stored” and the hosting provider's own short-lived request logs, it is the only place MEA TCL Academy keeps an IP address or a browser string.

b. What you open and ask, linked to your email

Once you have signed in, with any address, each time you open the app or come back to it, open a tab, a content card, a card's AI summary or a video, use the Airflow Lab or the energy calculator, and each question you ask the Sales Coach, is recorded with the email address you signed in with, what you opened or asked, the product line and the time. For the calculator that includes the market, model and figures you chose. Signing in is recorded too, with whether the address was on the roster. No IP address, no browser and no name are kept with it: names are added from the roster when the record is shown.

A question is kept as its first 120 characters, with any email address or phone number in it masked; a question asked by voice is kept as its text, like a typed one. At most the first 500 actions of a person's day are kept; any beyond that are only counted. This record is deleted automatically 90 days after the day it was made.

A Sales Coach message that contains an email address is not treated as a question: it is taken as signing in with that address, even on a device that is already signed in. The address is recorded in full in the access log (a) and the sign-in register (h), and if it is on the roster, this device is signed in as that promoter from then on, so what it does next is recorded under their address. Do not type a customer's or a colleague's email address into the Coach.

The operator can see everyone's record. A country trainer can see it only for the registered promoters of their own country — a trainer for any Gulf country covers all five GCC countries — and never for an address that is not on the roster. Both can download a day of it as a spreadsheet file, and, where the operator has connected Google Drive, a copy of each day's record is saved as a file in a Google Drive folder owned by the operator (see “Where it is stored”).

c. Learning progress and streaks

If you are signed in as a registered promoter, closing a content card or a video also adds to your training record: which items you opened, how many times, for how long, how far you got and whether you finished. Tapping “Got it” on the daily learning card counts that day towards your learning streak. Both are filed under the pseudonymous identifier above, not your email, and neither expires automatically.

Administrators can see each promoter's record and streak by name and email. After tapping “Got it”, registered promoters see a team board of the five longest current streaks, each shown with a first name, last initial and country. You appear in these views only while you are on the roster. Removing you from the roster hides your record but does not delete it.

Where the operator has connected Google Drive, a copy of the reading report — every registered promoter's name, email, country and role, with what they have opened and finished and for how long — is saved to the operator's Google Drive folder each day.

d. Exam entries (includes your email)

If you choose to take an exam or an assessment, you are asked for your name, position, country and email address. Anyone can sit one and see the score, but a result is kept only when you are signed in as a registered promoter, and then under the email you signed in with. It is stored with your answers, score and the time you submitted, so results can be reported and a monthly leaderboard produced. While an assessment round is in progress, what you typed and your answers are held for up to two hours.

The leaderboard can be seen by anyone using MEA TCL Academy. It shows the name you typed on the exam form, your country, points and how many assessments you sat — never an email address.

Where an administrator has connected one, each kept result — name, position, country, email, exam, language and score — is also sent to Google Sheets in a Google Drive folder owned by the operator.

Where an administrator has linked your email to a card on the “Marketing Learning League”, a colleague's page built with Anthropic's Claude, that page reads your results through a claude.ai connector. It receives the league's own card ID for you (usually your name) and, for each product line and level (1, 2 or 3), counting only assessments whose name says Level 1, 2 or 3: your best first-try score, the number of questions in that round, the number of attempts, the date and the assessment's name. MEA TCL Academy does not send your email or the name you typed on the exam form.

e. Feedback

The feedback form stores your message, the kind of note (idea, problem or content), the language you were using, your name if you are signed in as a registered promoter and, only if you type one, a contact detail. Leaving contact blank is fine. If an administrator runs the AI review of the library, the text of recent notes is sent to OpenRouter without the name or contact detail; see Third parties.

f. Promoter evaluations

Supervisors and trainers can file an evaluation of a promoter's work in a store. It records the promoter's name, the store, channel, city and country, the date, scores, grade and checklist, coaching notes and an action plan, together with the evaluator's name and the email they signed in with.

Signed-in supervisors and administrators can read evaluations; a trainer sees only their own market's, and a trainer for any Gulf country covers all five GCC countries. The app currently has no way to delete a single evaluation. The store keeps the newest 500, and older ones drop off as new ones are filed. Where the operator has connected Google Drive, a copy of the evaluations filed each day, with everything above, is saved to the operator's Google Drive folder.

g. Questions the assistant could not answer

When the assistant cannot answer a question, the question (its first 300 characters) and its language are logged, with how often and when it was asked, so the missing material can be written. No name, email or IP address is stored with it. The log keeps at most 300 questions, dropping the least-asked first, and administrators can delete entries. If an administrator runs the AI review of the library, up to 60 of these questions are sent to OpenRouter; see Third parties.

h. Sign-in email

MEA TCL Academy asks for an email address before it opens. If the address is on the roster of registered promoters, the full library unlocks on that device. If it is not, you continue to the shared training content. Either way the address is recorded, with the time of first and last use, a visit count, the language you were using and whether it matched the roster — so the team can see how many people use MEA TCL Academy. The same happens to an address typed in a Sales Coach message (see b). The register is not used to decide what you may see: that is decided only by the roster.

The roster itself is kept by administrators. It holds each registered promoter's name, email address, country and role. Trainers also have a password, stored only as a one-way hash.

Where the operator has connected Google Drive, a copy of this sign-in register, and a list of the registered promoters who have not opened MEA TCL Academy (name, email, country and the date they were added to the roster), is saved to the operator's Google Drive folder each day.

i. Stored on your device

Signing in stores, in your browser's local storage on that device, a session token and your display name — or, if your address is not on the roster, the address itself, which the app stops using after 30 days (it stays in the device's storage until it is replaced or the app's data is cleared). The session token is signed, not encrypted: it carries your email address, name and country in readable form. Supervisors and trainers who sign in to the Supervisor tab also have their name, email address, country and role, and a session token, stored on that device until they sign out or their session ends; the administrator pages keep their own session token there in the same way.

Signing in at the sign-in screen with any address also sets a cookie that tells MEA TCL Academy's server you have signed in. It carries the address you entered and whether it was on the roster, signed so it cannot be altered but not encrypted, and lasts 30 days from when it was set. A registered promoter's is renewed for another 30 days whenever it has less than a week left and their session is still valid, so it can outlast the session by up to 30 days. Until it runs out, is replaced by signing in with another address, or is removed by signing out, that device is recorded under that address, even when it shows the sign-in screen again. It is sent only to MEA TCL Academy itself, is used only for that, and cannot be read by the page. The app keeps a separate note of when it runs out, without the address.

Alongside these are your settings (language, theme, product line), a short list of items you recently opened so the app can offer them again, a copy of your reading progress, a note of which day the daily learning card was last shown and to whom (which holds your email address), and your Sales Coach conversations: the current one and up to 30 earlier ones, each of up to 60 messages. The earlier ones can be cleared from History in the Coach.

The session token and the cookie are sent with your requests so the server knows who is signed in. An address that is not on the roster is sent with the access-log lines described above and when the cookie is renewed, and the last few turns of the current Coach conversation are sent with each new question so the Coach can follow the thread. The rest stays on the device.

Signing out, which is offered to registered promoters from the badge in the header, removes the session token, your name, any off-roster address and the sign-in cookie. It does not remove your Coach conversations, the daily-card note (which holds your address), the recent list, the reading progress or your settings, so whoever uses the app next on that device can open your conversations in History. Someone who entered an address that is not on the roster is offered no sign-out control; their cookie runs out with their sign-in, 30 days after they entered the address. To remove everything, clear the app's data or delete the app.

j. Not collected, and device permissions

No location, no contacts, no advertising identifier, and no cross-site tracking by MEA TCL Academy. MEA TCL Academy itself sets one cookie, the sign-in cookie described in i. A YouTube or Vimeo video, or a Google Drive document or video, that you choose to open is shown in that service's own embedded player or viewer, which may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.

The microphone is used only for voice questions, and only after you tap Ask by voice or Live talk. Ask by voice listens for one question, puts the words in the question box for you to check and send, and stops when you finish speaking or tap it again. Live talk sends each question as you finish it and keeps listening until you tap it again, or until 30 seconds pass without a question.

Your speech is turned into text by the speech service built into your device or browser — for example Apple's speech recognition on iPhone and iPad, or Google's in Chrome on Android and computers — which may process the audio on its own servers. MEA TCL Academy never receives, records or stores your voice; only the text reaches us, exactly as if you had typed it.

The camera is used only if you choose Take Photo when attaching a picture, which only the administrator pages offer (see k below). No promoter screen uses the camera.

In the iPhone and iPad app, iOS asks your permission first: for the microphone and speech recognition only when you tap a voice control, for the camera only if you choose Take Photo, and for adding to your Photos only if you choose Save Image from the share sheet. You can turn each one off again in iOS Settings. The Android app asks you for no permissions: the only one in its package, added by the Android library it is built on, only lets the app pass messages to itself and is never asked for. Chrome, which runs it, asks for the microphone if you use a voice control.

Because MEA TCL Academy does no cross-site tracking, a browser's Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal is honoured by construction — MEA TCL Academy has nothing to opt out of. The video and document services above apply their own policies to their players.

k. Pictures, documents and videos added by staff

Pictures and PDFs that trainers or administrators upload in the admin pages, whether chosen from the device or taken with the camera, training videos they upload from the device, and documents and videos they add as links, are stored as training material that promoters can open, together with the email address of the trainer who added them (an administrator's are marked only as the operator's). That address is never sent to promoters.

Where the operator has connected Google Drive, uploaded files also go to a folder there. A picture or PDF of 3 MB or less is stored by MEA TCL Academy, and a private copy is kept in that folder. A larger picture or PDF, up to 200 MB, and every uploaded video (MP4, MOV or WebM, up to 1 GB), is kept only in that folder and shared so that anyone with its link can view it, which is how promoters open or play it; deleting it in MEA TCL Academy makes the Drive file private again. While an upload is in progress, and for two days after its last piece arrives or after a video upload is finished, its file name, size and type and who started it are held.

Why

Usage events exist to show which training material is actually reaching the sales floor and, more importantly, which material is being missed. Exam data exists to record who has been assessed on which document. Feedback exists so problems reported by promoters reach whoever can fix them.

Training records, streaks and evaluations exist so supervisors and trainers can see who has covered which material and coach accordingly. The log of unanswered questions shows which material is missing. The activity record exists so the operator, and each country trainer for their own promoters, can see who is using MEA TCL Academy and what they open, for their training.

Where it is stored, and for how long

Data is held in a managed Redis database (Upstash) and served from Vercel. Usage events and the access log are capped and rotate automatically. The activity record is deleted automatically 90 days after the day it was made. Exam results, training records and streaks have no automatic expiry. Feedback is kept until an administrator deletes it, and only the newest 500 notes are kept.

Sign-in addresses not used for 12 months are removed the next time the whole sign-in register is read — when it is opened in the admin screens or, where Google Drive is connected, copied for the daily report — not on a timer, so an old address stays stored until then. The register holds no more than 5,000 addresses. Your IP address is also held for up to an hour in the counters that limit how often requests can be made, and, once you have signed in, your email address for ten minutes; a trainer who adds material is counted by email address for an hour.

Where the operator has connected Google Drive, MEA TCL Academy saves CSV copies of four reports into a Google Drive folder owned by the operator every day: that day's activity record, the evaluations filed that day, the reading report (who has read which training material) and the sign-in register with the list of registered promoters who have not opened MEA TCL Academy. They carry names from the roster but no IP address and no browser. These copies, like the exam results in Google Sheets and the uploads described in k, stay in that Drive until the operator deletes them.

The operator sees these records in the admin screens. TCL country trainers, who sign in with their own password, see the roster, training records, streaks, evaluations, exam results, sign-in register, access log and activity record for their own market only — a trainer for any Gulf country covers all five GCC countries — without IP addresses or browser details, and, in the sign-in register, access log and activity record, without anyone who is not on the roster.

Transport is HTTPS throughout. Content that is restricted to promoters is withheld from anyone the roster does not recognise.

Access, correction and deletion

Write to aliafar1997@gmail.com and ask for a copy of what is held about you, a correction, or deletion. To identify your records, quote the email address you used at the sign-in screen or when sitting an exam.

Removing your exam entries takes them off every screen, report and export, and off the leaderboard. The entries are not erased: they stay in the database marked as removed, and a copy is kept in an administrator-only backup and removal log so a mistaken removal can be undone. Rows already sent to Google Sheets have to be deleted there by hand.

Feedback and unanswered questions can be deleted from the admin screens. The operator can erase your activity record from the admin screens for every day it still holds, and then saves those days to Google Drive again, which replaces the copies there so they no longer hold it.

Training records, streaks, sign-in register entries and evaluations have no delete control in the app yet, so a request to delete them is carried out by hand, directly in the database. The same goes for the rest of what has already been saved in the operator's Google Drive — the exam rows in Google Sheets, the other daily reports, any activity file older than the 90 days the record keeps, and the copies of uploads: they are deleted or corrected there by hand.

To clear what is on your device, clear site data for this app in your browser or Android settings, or delete the iPhone or iPad app. Signing out from the promoter badge only ends your session and removes the sign-in cookie.

Children

MEA TCL Academy is a workplace tool for retail staff and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Third parties

The app is served by Vercel and stores data in Upstash Redis. Training documents, images and videos are hosted on Google Drive and YouTube, and a video may be hosted on Vimeo; opening one contacts that service, whose player may set its own cookies, under its own privacy policy.

Thumbnails are loaded from Google's image servers (lh3.googleusercontent.com and img.youtube.com), and Drive documents open in an embedded Google viewer, so your device contacts Google when MEA TCL Academy opens and when its lists are shown, not only when you open an item.

Where an administrator has connected them, exam results are written to Google Sheets, and the daily reports and staff uploads are saved in Google Drive, all in the operator's own Google account; league scores are read through Anthropic's claude.ai connector. All of this is described above.

The assistant answers from MEA TCL Academy's own training content. If AI answering is switched on — by an administrator in MEA TCL Academy's settings, or by the operator in the hosting settings — your question is sent to OpenRouter (which passes it to the AI model chosen in those settings), to Google Gemini, or to both, to draft the answer. For TV questions, OpenRouter also receives the last few turns of the conversation as they appear on screen. MEA TCL Academy adds no name or email of its own, but those turns can include anything typed in the chat, such as an email address typed there to sign in, and the assistant's replies, which may greet you by name.

If an administrator runs the AI review of the library, which needs an OpenRouter key saved in MEA TCL Academy's settings, the text of up to 40 recent feedback notes and up to 60 unanswered questions, each cut to 300 characters, is sent to OpenRouter with the titles of shared training material and overall usage counts, so the AI model chosen in those settings can suggest missing material. The names and contact details stored with feedback are not included, and MEA TCL Academy adds no email address, but the text is sent as it was written.

Vercel and Upstash, which run and store MEA TCL Academy, Google, which holds what MEA TCL Academy saves to the operator's Google Drive and Sheets, and Anthropic, whose connector carries league scores, handle the data MEA TCL Academy gives them only to provide their service to MEA TCL Academy, under terms that protect it at least as well as this policy does. That cannot be promised for every AI model reachable through OpenRouter, or for Google Gemini: depending on the model and plan, they may keep what they receive or use it to improve their services. Nothing is sent to them unless AI answering is switched on or an administrator runs the AI review, as described above.

Voice questions are turned into text by your device's or browser's speech service, as described above. There are no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting SDKs in the website or the apps.

Changes

Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date. Continued use after a change means the updated policy applies.
